RRBs Activities - HISTORIC DHARNA AT JANTAR MANTAR IN NEW DELHI ON 19th AUGUST,2025

A massive dharma was staged at Jantar Mantar, in New Delhi, on 19 August 2025 by UNITED FORUM OF GRAMIN BANK UNIONS. More than 600 members from different parts of the country participated in Dharna. Apart from Central Trade Unions and top organizations of banking Industry, 17 parliamentarians of different political parties, both from Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha addressed the mammoth gathering and assured their support to agitation against GOI's move of pushing for an IPO of RRBs, which is against the basic objectives for which RRBs were established in the year 1975.

During the course of Dharna the apex RRB submitted Joint Memorandum officially to Hon'ble Finance Minister, mounting opposition to the government's proposal to introduce IPO in RRBs.
